Privacy
Last updated 2026-10-15. Kairos Studios LLC runs kinlura.com, the Porchlight newsletter and the Kinlura app.
This Website and Porchlight
What we collect. When you sign up, your email address and which list you joined: the Kinlura waitlist, Porchlight, or the open enrollment checklist. Nothing else.
What this site does not do. No analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, and no scripts from anyone else.
Where your address goes. It passes through this site on its way to beehiiv, the service that sends our email, and is kept there. Like most email services, beehiiv records whether an email is opened and which links are clicked. beehiiv's privacy policy covers how they hold it.
Stopping automated signups. To slow down bots, the site keeps a scrambled form of the network address a signup came from, for one hour, and then it's gone.
What we never do. We don't sell or share your address, and Porchlight takes no money from insurers, brokers or Medicare plans.
When you reply. Replies to Porchlight come to Eric's inbox. Nothing from a reply is added to our email list or to Kinlura, and a question is published only reworded and with your OK. Please don't send a parent's Medicare number, Social Security number or medical records.
Leaving. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To have your address deleted entirely, write to eric@kairosstudioshq.com.
Our host. Cloudflare serves this site and handles each visit the way any web host does.
This site and the newsletter are meant for adults.
The Kinlura App
Kinlura is in testing. This section describes the app as it works today and will be updated before it's generally available.
Your family's record is encrypted so only your household can read it, apart from the medication and supplement names described below. Paying unlocks features, not your data.
When Kinlura looks up a medication's strengths or checks for interactions, the medication name, and for an interaction check the list of medications and supplements being checked, is sent to Kinlura to do that. Nothing else goes with it.
Supplement search sends the name you type, as you typed it.
The wider interaction check is done by Anthropic's Claude AI, medication strengths come from the US National Library of Medicine, and supplement search from the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements. Each receives only the names being looked up.
Kinlura keeps the answer to a strength lookup or an interaction check for one day, filed under a scrambled form of the names, so the same question isn't sent out twice. The saved answer isn't linked to you or your device.
With sync on, sealed copies of every record, including the text read from your documents, and the document originals are stored encrypted on Kinlura's relay, which runs on Cloudflare. Kinlura cannot read them.
Interaction flags from the reference set built into the app always run on your phone or computer. The optional wider check sends only the substance names, and labels anything written by AI as generated and not checked by Kinlura.
Your visit brief is written on your phone or computer.
Kinlura never changes your Apple Health or Health Connect data.
You can save your whole record as one encrypted file and restore it on a new phone or computer. Restoring never overwrites an existing record, and a wrong passphrase is refused.
If you cancel a subscription, you keep every record, brief and export you already have.
